Thanks again to theinquirer.net, it seems as though ATi are going to move onto the 80 nm process possibly before Nvidia even get to the 90 nm process!

As you know, Nvidia are still producing chips on the 110 nm scale, are are looking at moving onto the 90 nm process for the G71....

ATi are looking forward to producing chips on the 80 nm scale with the RV535 and the RV505, so this is going to mean two things mainly........ many more transistors on the chip, giving more processing power, and also, theoretically cooler and also good for oc'ing the nuts off....... (but I'm an Nvidia fanbuoy)

Still, this doesn't beat Intel looking towards the 65 nm process which is currently in the pipeline either!!!! Those chips will be tasty

ATI is really good at finding a way to sabotage their own cards right before they come out.... I remember we were all throwing a huge stink over the R520 and how 1337 it was going to be, then it got fuckin :0wned: by nVidia. lol

x1800xt > 7800 256. atm, you can't tel the diff in fps so i'd say 1800xt

im not an ati fan but i wouldnt mind trying one of there newer cards still never going to beat nvidia look at the 7800gtx 512mb that thing is insane ati drivers aint good ether

I got a cheap x800XT PE, and it works great. Refurbished...but still has a 3 year warranty on it, and I paid 220 shiped 4 months ago

Well see what they come out with in the future, but realisticaly there fairly even right now. Both are damn good.
