Al dropped me some pretty tasty news:
Well well, ATI are feeling the HEAT so they're going for another die shrink. Is this practicle or even sensible?
I'm not so sure!

Hey guys, check this little gem out.....!
Thanks again to theinquirer.net, it seems as though ATi are going to move onto the 80 nm process possibly before Nvidia even get to the 90 nm process!
As you know, Nvidia are still producing chips on the 110 nm scale, are are looking at moving onto the 90 nm process for the G71....
ATi are looking forward to producing chips on the 80 nm scale with the RV535 and the RV505, so this is going to mean two things mainly........ many more transistors on the chip, giving more processing power, and also, theoretically cooler and also good for oc'ing the nuts off.......(but I'm an Nvidia fanbuoy)
Still, this doesn't beat Intel looking towards the 65 nm process which is currently in the pipeline either!!!! Those chips will be tasty![]()
