Hi all, nice to meet you! :wavey: I'm James, I'm a student and I'm completely new to building and overclocking computers (My most recent computer is a 3 year old Packard Bell from PC World so you could probably guess that anyway :p).

It seems like the people on this forum are pretty cool, so I'm sure that I'll have fun here :) Hope to see you around and I certainly hope to learn a lot from this forum. :D

You wouldn't mind posting the specs of the Packard Bell PC would you?

I have a ~3 year old retired Packard Bell sitting right next to me, P4 3GHz, 1GB DDR-400 and a measly 6200LE.

It was my starting computer into the hardware world, and it served me well for two or so years. :)

Welcome to OC3D. Have a nice stay! :)

At school at the moment but I'll try to remember it ;)

AMD 64 Athlon 3500+ (2.20GHz)

1gb ddr-400

500mb hard drive (doubt its sata-II :()

Radeon 9600 I think

Thinking about it, I might steal the dvd-rw drive from this old horse and put it in my new comp (which I'll get in however many years...).

Thanks for all the greetings!

That's quite a veteran you have in your hands. :p

Yeah. I'd probably put it in a new comp if it wasn't for the fact it runs at about 3 RPM  Looks like I'll have to donate it to the local museum instead
