MediaTek shows the World First Wi-Fi 7 Live Demo to Customers

Well here's hoping it doesn't cost an arm and leg.

Also hoping to see a full fledged standard launch. Not like the previous 4/5 half rollout then roll out all the new features 1 year later.

Sounds like standard practice these days.

1. Show new product at exhibition conference with all new features to spike investments and interest/hype

2. Launch product with only 20% enabled to make quick sale when product is not fully ready anyway

3. Release additional features throughout the year, to herald them as milestone achievements

We see it with games, Directx, Cars (e.g. Tesla), and more

Makes sense when you put it into perspective like that.

I'm against it though, i think its shady. Many people will purchase something expecting the price they pay is the full package. Its sometimes a slap in the face to find out 50% of the reasons you purchased said product, are not available this year meaning you have to wait until the unevolved promises finally come to light.

I fully agree. They claim excuses such as the chips aren't available yet, which is a poor excuse. If the chips aren't fully ready then why are you releasing the "next gen" product?
