What do you guys think about using one of these to add to my loop, i have been warned to run it of a meanwell psu.

Can't wait till the weekend to get it up and running. mmm spank me

A little review i found

3 water loops, thats all i have to say about it. If you have the space, and like loud noises go with this. Or just get some maze 4-1 blocks (cpu + gpu) you should get comparable performace and a quicker setup. Ill tell you how much oc i get with my pelt setup in a couple weeks.

Yeah i was wondering if DD did the low profile maze4's with pelts...

yeh, phil has the GPU block in stock on the site, but you can get the CPU block from a number of places.

eh?

I've got the Brass/Chrome Maze 4 GPU blocks in stock, and the LP Maze 4 Acetal. I've also got a 4-1 Pelt in stock in both old and new variants. They're just not advertised yet. You dont get LP Pelts AFAIK.

Right, this is a real interesting subject and a great idea so how about:

Making your own with 2x226w pelts, 2 decent blocks (DD, Polar Flow etc) and sandwich a copper water exchanger in the middle?

Go extreme, using two mach heads (or a special two headed mach) and sandwich a copper water HX in the middle?

The Swiftech unit has 1/4" waterpipe, whats that all about? I know the review say it's good, I have my reservatiosn about that just based on the flow.

The idea of the chiller in reference to the direct mounted pelts is to try and set it up so that you can avoid the condensation at the cooling point - That is to say the pelt cooling of the liquid is done outside the case and you control the voltage/curent on that to get the lowest possible water temps (set at just above the condensation point).

Very interesting - not directly the answer to GFX cooling - but certainly and idea others shoud follow and refine.

The main issue with pelt cooling is the condensation AND heat from the psu. The Dream PC tries to combat this as best it can but its not exactly what you'd call "aesthetic".

Very true phil and for me not desirable for 24/7.

Maybe though (although still retired ;) ) it could be something that can be hooked up for the odd benchmark.

Prommie cooled CPU with switchable pelt cooling on GPU's - mmmmmmmmmmm

Do you have a picture, wouldnt the condensation from the pelt be cured by the same method of using non conductive thermal paste. Please pardon my n00bness.

Okay how about this:

we all know 7800GTX's run fairly cool and I am not keen on pelt cooling 24/7.

With a pelt cooler such as the DD, will a 7800 GTX remain sufficiently cool with the pelts turned off?

The gove you the opportunity to install a rig that you can switch the pelts on for benching only - then return to conventional watercooling for 24/7

Any thoughts?

yeh, i am sure it would work. But what about the 2 water loops cooling the chiller? do they have separate pumps? (connected to the pelt psu)
