MB and PSU question

Hi!

I want to buy a PSU and my choice would be the LC Power LC6550GP 550W (140mm). I don't want to spend a lot of money for this. It has a 2 year guaranty and it costs only 40 eur. On the other side it has only one pci-e connector (but as many of you have written, in my previous post, that there is no point in using sli or crossfire config.). Would this psu be a good choice for this combo:

· Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Sockel-775 boxed

· ABIT IP35 Pro (costs 178 eur) or ASUS P5K-E WiFi (133 eur)

· Zotac GeForce 8800 GT AMP! Edition, 512MB

· Super Talent DIMM Kit 2048MB DDR2 PC800 CL4

· Going to keep my 2 old ide hdd (40 and 160gb) for now.

I'm not sure about the MB's. I would prefer the Abit MB but the price is a little bit heavy. Is there any other MB that has similar functions and oc capabilities, but with a smaller price tag? And what do you think about the ASUS P5K-E WiFi which costs only 133 eur?

Thx for your answers.

Hi!

I have changed my mind and I'm going with the LC Power LC6560 -560W/14 BLACK SILENTPOWER PSU, which has a slightly bigger price tag but the performance is much better.

I have found a MB review which prefers the ASUS P5K-E MB and they were testing also the Abit IP35 Pro and Gigabyte P35-DS4. There were a 9 MB at the test but this 3 were in the same price-performance range.

Here is the link of the review http://www.techspot.com/article/61-intel-p35-motherboard-roundup/page25.html .

Which would you prefer, or is there a better MB at this price range?

Thx

IRC that Mobo has only 1 IDE channel, so you may need to go for a sata dvd drive if you want to keep the two hdd's.

I have the Ip35-Pro and so far it's been top class.

personally, i would go for a known manufacturer, corsair, PCP&C, Tagan, somthing along those lines for your psu...i wouldnt trust such expensive hardware with what is in my opinion, as good as a generic psu..
