The 8800GT ive got is a good overclocker so i`ll try and bench that before it gets sold on friday!

with your new setup ian and a good 88gt you should get some great boints from 06 and vantage and if you really push the mhz the older ones too.

you want to get 197.45 driver on xp if you want to play with lod tweaks

Im benching my folding rig at the moment with the 8800GT in it, the CPU is fairly old and im ranked #47th with the overclock but just working my way through the list now

(currently at 32M superpi test)

You should stick your 8800gt in with the 2500k if it isn't already. You WILL get some nice points from that. It was one of the three gpu's that got me 200 points last month

(I shouldn't start thinking of GPU benching.... after seeing k404's submissions for the 8000 series nabbing him 2000 point I want to mod more gpu's

Its got an aftermarket cooler on it and ive not seen it go higher than 50C, Im tempted to keep it tbh and its a performance beast!

Im 149th with it on my folding PC and ive noticed the top 20 are mostly using i7 hex's to get there score - the sly buggers

I couldnt remember how far I was able to push it so I didnt over-do it last night and I went bed after completing the run but im confident it can do better, its got a 120mm fan tied to it and if it comes to it, i`ll take whatever that one is and wack on dual sickleflows for uber cooling/overclocking

Ive been a sly one and decided to keep the 8800 for benching and im buying a 430 for my mate instead - which i will also bench when its build (hes in work so wont know

hahah funny only thing holding me back is i need a block for second 470 and no idea when im be able to afford it lol only just moved house so everything tight + had to buy new power supply since mine just could not cope with sli lol
