You don't need the 50mm, I don't use it with the armour. If your case is all good then you will be fine.

Yea i thought that too since he(the guy who was reviewing) was using a test bench then i thought maybe it is because there is no airflow

In My opinion you should go for the Gigabyte Z68-UD4 and a Dark Rock Pro. Clean balck look, and the UD4 looks to be a very good board.
