Maximum recommended temperature using Intel Burn Test

Is this your IB build with a 3570k? if yes highest temps you want are between 70 - 80 but 60 - 70 would be more ideal.

3770K, but yeah.

It seems like I have not been blessed with a golden CPU - i'm seeing 82 on the hottest core.

I mean, it's unlikely that any real world application is going to stress the CPU as much as Linpack, but I guess i'd better drop the clock.

And i'm running a D14, so it looks like the next step is a big-ass watercooling loop!

whats ur ambient temp thru the testing?? how long did ya run it?? way to many factors involved to say damn i lost the lotto yet mate. Give us details

gotta agree with S_I_N , first of all you should measure your temps in delta, i.e. the actual minus ambient.

things like case, airflow, air pressure, even time matters. it all about variables, one day youll get 82 other 68 you know
