The standard NZXT Hale82 is a good PSU, BUT the N Series Hale82 is a flawed unit (some reviews here and here). The standard version is a Seasonic OEM (i think) so that's all good, but the N Series is not and should be avoided. So as long as the PSU is NOT the N series your fine (the standard unit is a great PSU btw). As for the board, it's a solid choice but a Gigabyte Z77 UD5 is the same price, has more features and overclocks just a tad better. Or alternatively, the MSI Z77 GD55 (or 65 if he needs the extra 2 SATA Rev.3 ports) is also a great pick. The 7850 is great, but you can often find GTX 570's for the same price, and the 570's are a tad faster than the 7850. Apart from that it looks good.

I wouldn't get such a high-wattage psu, a 650w is easily enough for this system. I would also go with corsair vengeace blue or black ram since it fits the mobo's colour better, but that's just my personal opinion. The rest looks quite nice.

Thanks for the reply, the psu is http://www.ebuyer.com/341948-nzxt-hale82-750w-psu-hale82-750-m so I'm guessing that is standard and fine.

Think we will go with the UD5, has to be the wifi version though

you might want to have a look on www.dabs.com (also try code june10 as this might get you £10 off the price if you spend £150 or more) as they have the corsair TX750M for £88 and www.ebuyer.com have the Seagate 1.5TB Barracuda for £65, hope this is of some help to you
