Mass Effect Specs

Read the specs the other day :)

The game looks like it might be good, the min specs seem low but watching a video of the developers it seems they have made it really scalable as they wanted as many people to be able to play it as possible without the need to upgrade :)

ZP review made this game rather unappealing...

What is ZP?

they do that to 'amd' processors on boxes due to the whole athlon stage.. (or whenever it started) when they were running 1800mhz and could outperform a 2200mhz intel hence you could get an AMD 2200+ (1.8 iirc) and meh.

they still do it, which is why they put all the different GHz on boxes now, some just put 4800+ or 5000+, depends i guess.

Looking at the videos from the developers, the pc version will be different than the xbox360 version.

The interface is totally different

The control system is different and is aimed at keyboard and mouse use

The graphics are different

The vehicle movement is improved (the dev made a big point about this)

It will include "Bring Down the Sky" (a paid for DLC on xbox360)

Optimized for the PC, Mass Effect for the PC incorporates the following features:

* Optimized controls designed specifically for the PC.

* High resolution visuals – Mass Effect for the PC features highly detailed textures, characters and environments.

* Fully customizable controls – PC gamers can re-map the control scheme any way they like.

* Run & Gun Control – Players can assign biotic powers or skills to ‘hot keys’ allowing them to play Mass Effect with a heavier focus on action.

* New decryption mini-game.

* New inventory screen GUI and functionality – The enhanced inventory system makes it easier for players to equip and modify their weapons and armor.
