just a quick update.

so with the heat kinda stopping me for playing as much as i would like i did some reading up on these amd chips because like i said earlier in this thread its been a while since i used one in anger, seems they are weak in some areas and like things in certain ways.

so testing some of the stuff i found i got to this



so with this new found knowledge about them im going to try and make some time over the weekend to take another run at these tests again to see if i can shave any more time off some of them and gain more points in the others

i know its not an amd thing but i also think i have found some kind of strap that kicks in every 30/33 fsb or so, not sure if its a chip or mobo thing yet but i will test this out later when i can try the cpu in another board.

i know its not needed but i reran maxxmem to and got it up to 746.1 marks too, i would love to really be able to see what these sticks can do as i know this setup is holding them back and they want to go so much higher

my phone is being a shit and keeps going nuts when i take pictures, i know its not the sd card as i have tested a couple so im thinking its this oxygen rom im using. im going to try a new rom (think i might try the new sense off the desire s tbh) and now that the old man is back from the tt im going to tap him up for the dslr again too

SuperPi score - 15sec 234ms

took me 3 goes to get a picture of this as it would bsod as i was saving the printscreen and then on the 3rd go it went a little faster still

tbh after trying a few of the other tests with it on a higher fsb/low multi with super tight timings on the ram at slower speeds i can pretty mush say that you want the ram as fast as you can get it at the cost of fsb and even a a few mhz on the cpu.

still cant catch chudley on this one tho, nice going matey

never been great at pifast, idk why or how others can get it faster with less mhz than i. i guess its my os tweaks letting me down.

i spent days shaving the last 250 ms off that but 1m is all about pure mhz, nothing is better than a faster cpu here and this is testiment to that.

again i have never ran this before and while i did it a few times this was my best.

Prime95 stress test 30min @ 4.2ghz

F@H test i bombed this with a whopping 1104 ppd because the stanford servers kept giving me wu that wouldnt finish so i had no chance of getting the ppd bonus.

while not part of it i know but still tests i want to see how i did in i also submitted results in these 2 test too.

i have tried to beat these a couple of times this past week too but with the air temps still on the increase i dont think i will be able to better them now for a while.
