ManHunt 2 gets Uk release date

The whole point of the game is mindless violence, so i'm not sure how it's going to fare after all these forced changes.

Yeah but it should be ok for me to let my kid play even tho it's for 18+ cos I shouldn't have to parent them myself !

I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Children/Teenagers who are younger than the age limit of this game won't be able to purchase it without an adult buying it for them. So, the whole point of this game being too violent is pretty idiotic.

I believe the video game violence topic has popped up a good few times over the years on OC3D.

And everytime it does show itself I give the same response... blame the parents.

Kids are going to get their hands on the game regardless, so I can understand why they would want you to dumb it down, it makes sense from their perspective. Although, I must say, I was never impressed upon by a video game when I was young in a negative way. I think the whole "Hey, that looks immitatable!" thing that a very small percentage of the weaker-minded children do puts a bad mark on video games all around. But it does happen.

My kids might 'get their hands on it', but theres no way in hell I'd let them use it.

Should be irrelevant. Kids being weak-minded has no bearing as they shouldnt be playing it.

No if u dont want to parent ur kids, and allow them to use the internet and gaming in their rooms on their own - hey thats ur choice, but dont cry to me about game content cos ur an idiot.

Censorship should rest on the parents IMO. A red 18+ symbol on the front should be enough for anyone to know.

We tend to get faaarrr too hung up on rights in todays world and not say much about responsibility.

Out of interest anyone play the first one?

Installed it, started playing, lost interest. <hype. Same deal here I spect, they probably not making any changes, just raking in the publicity.

I heard that the game is nothing to write home about, and it relies on the shock tactics to generate interest while not offering much of a game otherwise. Not played it myself, so I can't say if that's right or not.

Yah it's all about the shock factor, the executions are pretty sweet, but the game lacks. The first one was awesome though in my opinion. James Earl Cash, total badass.

I totally agree, I was just trying to see it how 'they' do.

I had the 1st one on the PS2. It really was just mindless violence at the end of the day. For example being able to kill people with Plastic bags.

I got bored of it about half way through....
