I'm wanting to build a shed/garage and fabbing up some custom parts instead of buying them would be a good way to build the interior exactly how I want instead of relying on buying parts and saving on wood costs(wood prices are ridiculously high still in the US)

There's certainly a lot of potential for machines like this. Though it will have a steeper learning curve than 3D printers. Subtractive manufacturing is very different to additive manufacturing.
