Mach Power Compsumption?

anyone know how many watts these things eat up at idle and load? trying to work out the year cost of running it.

They can sink 200W at the evap head, but it's 75% efficient and would use 300W of power under full load. This is approx 3500 kWh per year when on 24/7 which would prob cost £180 to £215 or £3 to £4 a week. However, the heat the unit pulls out of your CPU and its own excess heat are thrown into your house 'for free' so your heating bills would go down a bit - in winter at least. I gather a hot summer with a prommie is rather fraught!

runing the prommie in summer almost killed me :P unless u got good cooling for your room (i.e air con) i wouldnt leave ure PC on while you sleep!

prommie is in my room 24-7 (well nearly) missus never complains and she is 39 weeks gone and hates the heat, so i would say it aint that bad

Yep i have to say this summer this prommie has made my room unbearable at times.. but as u say roll on the winter.. i wont be turning the heating on with this puppy purring away...

i've been running my prommie for 6 months without turning if off (well now and then for upgrades etc). Its getting colder at nights now so my prommie is now doing its job of keeping me warm :)
