MACH II PCB board

I have got an MACH 2 ST.

I have been having loads problems with it and I am about to RMA it.

The problem is if I did do that, the place I bought it from will not be able to give another as they don't stock it anymore. (Do you see the luvvvvv for mach-ness )

The only thing I am unable to do is to flash the board. (Which might fix it)

But the damm usb connection on the ST doesn't work.

So I got 2 question>

-Is there any way to flash the damm MACH ST board?

-If I was to get the mach 2 pcb board is there a good chance my current problems will go away?

Yea, would help knowing the problem in the first place. There may be a fix that someone knows on here without doing any of those things, IF we knew the problem.

A replacement controller is the fix you require. It will turn your ST into a Mach II, where you can use the LCD, control the fans and flash the firmware.

Thanks guys for the intrest in what my actual problem was. Got to say love this forum some good info here

Basically I was getting error code 7 ("bimetal is open....") .

Since posting the original msg. I have come to realize that my USB connection on mach 2 st is indeed working.

The the solution to problem was to flash the mach 2 st. firmware.

nice one well done there. Its 50/50 as to whether or not the USB works with an ST, you have one of the first revisions in that case, where it did.

I am just wondering on this point cause I might be thinking all the MACH 2 ST usb will work cause it seems that the firmware does indeed go flaky some times and the only way to fix it is to flash it.

If you were not able to do this then you need to return it :-(

Only time will tell, be intresting to see if people end up giving it another try

By you saying it's the first revision. Do you think the LCD display will also work?
