m-ATX board

I can't help as I've never used one, but what you're using it for and what sort of spec you'll be looking to use could help?
 
The best M-atx 775 board ive seen is a gigbyte. cant remember which model it is, but i know someone who does and will probe them when they appear.
 
I assume you are talking about the Gigabyte G33M-DS2R? I have one in my htpc, can do 500fsb+ with dual core. But I think the asus P5E-VM HDMI is better. but the OP didnt mention what socket mobo he wants?

With be running a Q6600 and a single 8800GTX (possible a 9800GX2)...

Will not be water cooling.
 
Thanks Brooksie....I'm glad to see the "size matters" analogy being blown out of the water. I have heard good things about the G35 based Asus board, but will be cooling the system with air so it's unlikely my OC will reach the dizzy heights of the diddyman....
 
Cheers m8, u wont get disappointed this board clocks very well from what I had heared, only thing u might wana replace is the NB heatsink, as it can get hot if u pushin it.
 
Will see how temps. etc pan out.

The rig will be housed in a mini-P180 case and there will be a 120mm fan blowing cool air over the area. The cooling power on tap in the case should be awesome.

Will do...first impressions looking good to be honest.

I've heard these clock well so will be good to stretch its clocking legs. The board marks a bit of a major move for me too....always had nvidia boards in the past so will be interesting to see how well intel G35 chipset performs.

Oh - anyone know if I can create a ICH9R RAID driver for XP 32 bit on a USB stick or will I have to resurrect my floppy (fnar)??
 
Intel based chipset Overclock much easier then Nvidia based chipset, the G35( m-ATX) is like a P35 (ATX), so do a some readings and it is a piece of cake to get your system up and running;)
