Ludicrously large Earth map mod comes to Civ VI

This is where DX12 would help. Better use of the CPU cores/threads would really help those turn times and especially late game.

Yeah, DirectX 12 would help here it acted anything like Mantle with Beyond Earth.

The main problem is that Firaxis has went silent when ti comes to DirectX 12 since their original announcement.
 
Indeed they have. Just leaves us with pure speculation. Either they are having a hard time with it or they are really trying to polish it. Kinda feel like it's either extreme.
 
I really enjoyed the Earth map in Civ 5 so I am sad that they seemingly removed it in Civ 6 but at least we have this now.
 
I kinda feel like they left out a lot of customization for games. Not many options, although the next patch is supposed to bring it back. Rumored they took it out because they were having a lot of bugs and issues. So good on them for that
