Low profile sound card.

With the current setup of my Water Cooling i am unable to fit my Audigy in the PCI slot as the pump gets in the way.

A low profile sound card should work fine. Does anybody know of a good one?

So far i have these in mind:

It doesn't have to be 'amazing' as i only use 2 speaker headphones. But it needs to be better than the awful sound of the onboard DFI NF4 card.
 
How good do you want the sound to be mate? I have a few url's listed here, but I dunno what they are like. At least you've got some variety lol. There were some at Maplins which I've included (bottom link, and towards bottom of the page), but they may not be suitable.

Failing these, I think my preference would lie with the soundblaster live card
 
Cheers PV i'll take a look.

It needs to be quite good as the NF4 onboard is awful for playing CSS. Its impossible to work out where people are.
 
Yeah agreed, perhaps that's my problem with CSS. I use onboard on all of my comps rofl, I really do need to get a soundcard

Even with my bog standard Audigy installed it makes THE WORLD of difference. I highly recommend it.
 
id get teh sb live, if it's got cmss (which i believe it does?) then ur 2 headfones give better spacial awareness in things eg.. css :D
 
The Terratec is nice with the dual Optical jacks if you have a nice surround setup but it doesn't look like you need any of that Jimbo. Stick with the SB, it's more lowpro anyhow :D
 
I have never liked creative sound cards and only get Auzentech ones, but given your circumstances I would go with the SB live ;)
 
I can't belive no-one has suggested an external one?

Mate of mite has an Xtergiy or w/e theyre called and its great.

Poor guy, wish him better from me :)

Seriously tho, i did consider an external card but they are quite a bit more than a similar quality internal card.
