LOTR Beta stress test

Haven`t had time to check it out yet, but I`ve been mailed the beta key and so on (downloading it via the email link).

Giving any1 interested the heads-up so u can either check out the website and find out what`s going on.

Usual thing is that a stress test = open beta (or atleast very soon after), so if u`r not sure if u`r email addy has been registered with them - just enter u`r details again with them.

I believe this is the US version. I haven`t had a shout from other versions as yet.
 
I've been on the list for a while now, haven't been sent the email yet but my upstairs neighbor has... damn him :p
 
I had a stress test invite come thru email a few weeks ago :)

I've not bothered downloading the client tho :( been doing other stuff

Also don't have a fileplanet account :( so it takes ages to download anything
 
Seem the download is a pita, this one isn`t through fp, they`re using some ghey downloading means that disconnects every couple of mins/secs.

Gonna have to use their torrent thingy >.< freakin h8 torrents.
 
I luuuuv torrents, usually the fastest way to dl something if enough people are keeping up a clever seed.
 
I get average of 100KB/s :eek: Most of the time going to the 200KB/s mark but it does indeed depend on if there are leeching doobags or sharing nice people :)
 
After I got back from the bar I noticed that I was receiving @ about 300kbps and upping @ about 150kbps.

Just finishing my game updates now and I'll be ready to play!
 
Been playing as much as I can with my half alive computer until my new PSU comes in, the game is amazing. It's defnately going to keep me occupied for quite some time. I'm thinking about doing the lifetime subscription for $200 so I won't hafta worry bout any of those pesky monthly bills.

I just now started the download on to my Dell so I can play a bit until my main rig is back up 100% again.

My ISP doesn't like torrents. They send me emails about copyright infringement so I have to steer clear of them now. Damn you rogers lol

Not sure what it's like in America and Canada, but in the UK loads of people have been warned and kicked off of ISPs for downloading movies etc on torrents as most stuff is filtered and is trackable. Especially torrents etc.

But not all torrents are illegal, so not sure how/why a ISP would block all access to them, altho some ISPs in the UK were blocking ports to kazaa etc
 
I believe over here thats illegal becasue of privacy issues. I havent heard anything about ISPs doing that(over here). I know if they monirotred what i did i would sue.

I think it maybe in the small print of the ISPs TOS over here (which I think also says they can change it as they wish within reason)
 
glock are u serious? i have rogers also, and they havent said anything to me about torrenting

but back before like a few years ago, i used limewire and kazaa when i was younger, and the internet was cutt of, so i called them and they said they disconected the internet cuz their had been a virus going around. and they said they had recieved calls saying it was coming from my computer, wtf is that!

glock, their not aloud to check what ur doin on ur comp. what kind of emails did they send u? and torrent's arn't illegal
