So I am in the process of building another Intel PC. I have all the components except the CPU and MOBO. For the CPU I have settled with in i7 950, but have not found a good mobo for it. My criteria is a MOBO with VERY good OC potential as I plan to OC this chip passed 4.0ghz as well as overclocking the RAM and the chipsets for more stability (so good heat sinks). It also must be LGA1366 (duh), contain the X58, made by a reputable company (EX: msi, EVGA), under $250, can be bought here in the US AND by a reputable site (EX: newegg). USB3.0 and SATA6 is not important to me.

Asus Sabertooth or Gigabyte UD3R V2

How is the BIOS is the Gigabyte? is it easy to navigate and get your OCs without having to search for everything. I am already familiar with the ASUS bios but i just dont want to have to deal with a cluster F%$# BIOS.

The saber tooth looks BEAST! and i already love ASUS just the colors i am not to fond of. I have been keeping a close eye on it though, I just want something that is not green and tan. although repainting ceramic is not terribly difficult.

dude, for real?

Why are people buying for looks thats stupid buy for quality.

im buying it for both and yea FOR REAL! i have a case that has a window i want whats inside to look good. i also said i would paint it, you even quoted me on it.

why cant people read "for real."

whats wrong with SLi/Xfire with this board?

its x16 or x4x4 witch is not good if you do SLI or crossfire you need x8x8 or x16x16

and this board is NOT on MSI site so i can not say for sure, but on NEWEGG it says x4x4

on MSI site there is a X58A-GD65 but its Crossfire only
