Looking for a sound card.

Looking for a decent sound card.. A mix of music and game, around £30-£50..

i saw this one looks ok.. My speakers only use the green connector, will this card give me a decent sound increase over onboard lol..

Until now, I still can't tell the differences of X-Fi extreme, gamer, etc...

I`m not so sure how much of a better sound u`d get pur-chasing a card for stereo (+ bass mix) soundcard.

Performance-wize u can of course free up the onboard. Then again the likes of creative controlled cards do have the ability to arrange a surround based game into a rich stereo output. 3d positioning was never that good with onboard imo.

Meh, probably a better idea if u wish to game alot, music maybe not.

Should be a fine card for both the games and music. Only real different between the cards is the ports on the back.

Heck its the one i'm looking to buy.

No, won`t make a whole lot of difference to music. Game stuff and effects ya.

Crappy old onboard will play music well, u`r main tv/radio stations use it alot

Step into stuff above stereo and it`s quite a different matter.
