Logitech Releases New G-Series Gaming Peripherals

Probably to provide enough power to the LCD screen. USB probably can't power a colour LCD...or maybe there is another reason for it.

Holy pants! I need that today! Too bad logitec has a reputation with me for rag tag drivers / user interfaces.

I wonder what implications that high res LCD screen has... Does anyone know if it can render, say... what's behind you in a 3D video game?

Puh-lease.

So basically they combo'd some of the better gaming periphs over the last couple of years.

Log gamepad: Same as N52 Gamepad

Log Keyboard: Same as Saitek Concept

Log Mouse: Microsoft..'nuff said

Log Headset: Pick one.

Wake me up when they go back to their old Designer sense and come up with something new.

Look's nice but really just overkill. You spend all that cash on this set up only to get owned in CS:Source/COD4 by some 13 year old with a £10 budget effort !

The AC adapter could be to power the USB ports on it aswell.

Think I might get the headset + gamepad to compliment my G5 + G11. :)

Touch late.. but aren't there USB screens already? besides my MP3 player has a wee colour screen, it charges od USB so might do the trick.. if it needs an AC cable thata a pitty, more cables... yey

Amazon had this up for pre-order in February, your mostly paying for the full color lcd this time around, fully usb2.0 ports and re-instatement of a line of G keys.

Considering the G15 MkI was £99.99 mrsp on release, £143 isn't bad from a Logitech pov.

From a gamers pov, that lcd has to be utilized by game companies to make it more than a gimmick. If it is, ur gonna be pretty tempted.

Prices of stuff these days, sheesh.
