Hey there! I consider myself enthusiastic about PC's, perhaps not an enthusiast since I don't go out of my way other than occasional mods and experimentation, a PSU, heatsink, graphics card... oh, point of interest: Hard disks. Nothing looks cooler than a hard disk without a cover whilst it's operating!! I recommend taking an old one, and replacing the cover with a clear perspex lid to watch the arm flicking about. I even learnt to mimick the exact sounds :P through hours of watching...

Anyway, yeah, that's me... and my system, got interested a good number of years ago in PC's (still have an old Compaq Contura Aero 4/33C since I was about 10ish) but only really started buying nicer kit as of recently. Specs filled in for people, clix on the left, there << :D

Happy to be here, I hope I can share some of my knowledge with others since I find you learn most about what you own! Therefore I focus on AMD and ATI... though since I broke my 9800 with a screwdriver I'm beginning to learn a bit on Nvidia whilst I work up the cash for a replacement :D. Last personality description: I blather like nothing else.

Hi CrArC,

Firstly, welcome to :anisx: its good to have you onboard.

I really like the idea of having a perspex top on a hard disk - maybe someone should do that as a business. It would look really sweet to have a UV reactive persex lid on a hard disk :) :)

Sorry to hear about your 9800 :(
