Liquid Cooling Question

Hi, I'm thinking about building a Liquid Cooling system but just have one question after reading some of these threads. Do you have to refill your liquid cooling liquid? How so, how often do you have to do this and will it tell you when you have to? Also, how easy is it if you have installed it already in your computer?

Welcome aboard:wavey:

As for liquid cooling, it depends on how you install it really. but you will have to top it up now and again but not regualy.

Nice one mate, I hope you stick around and keep us updated with pics. Over time you will experience evaporation from your loop, but it will be minimal. As far as maintaining an adequate fluid level, it will be dependent on whether you have an open loop (with a reservoir) or closed loop (without res). A reservoir will facilitate easier refilling for you because it has a removable cap where you can simply top it up. Some wcing enthusiasts don't use a reservoir, they simply use a 'T' connector with extra tubing to fill their loop and/or trap bubbles.

Hey mate, welcome :)

In addition to what has been said, ensure you clean out your radiator thoroughly before use - I got lazy when I added a second rad to my loop and it dumped tonnes of dirt into the loop meaning I had to take everything apart and clean it up.

If your water goes cloudy or funny looking it needs changing - there are addatives that prevent/delay this from happening such as tec protect...

There is not a lot of maintenance involved if you take the time to set it up correctly. Any questions we're happy to help.

if you use a bay reservoir, like me :yumyum: You'd like to keep it filled to the top. Anyways if your adding coolant to water, it goes pretty pretty fast, atleast for me. Just on the CPU I'm loosing an inch per month off my reservoir.
