LG's 4K HDR10 32UD99 monitor will release in April for £950

Well the article does say the max refresh rate is expected to be 60hz so if that ends up being the case I would think most people would be fine with a FreeSync range of say 30-60.

Most 4K FreeSync panels are more like 40-60Hz, though LG could surprise us.

My Iiyama has a range of 35-60, which is quite high for an early 4K FreeSync panel. Hopefully we will see DP 1.3/4 displays soon that can push higher refresh rates at 4K.

I want a 4K display with FreeSync LFC.

Honestly I think a FreeSync range of 40-60 is fine for a 4K 60Hz monitor, 30-60 would be better but so long as I manage to stay above 40 FPS I could live with 40-60. If this monitor gets decent reviews and I get myself a 4K gaming GPU this year I may buy myself one of these depending on the price, though according to Google £950 is equal to 1178.19USD and I hope that doesn't end up being the actual price otherwise it will be outside of my budget unless it gets a 10/10 in most reviews.

I know, but a lot of times it can be 45-75 and that's just horrible as it's so small of a window and it's neither high or low enough to really provide benefit for FPS players or RTS players.

To get LFC with a 4k 60hz panel, we would need a range of 24-60 and that's ok for 4k but only 4k.

£950 will likely translate to around $900-1000. £950 includes VAT so you can deduct 23% when buying from somewhere like Newegg in the States.

Nice panel. I don't think you'd want anything smaller for 4k so it's a good size. Any freesync is better than no freesync and with most single GPU solutions struggling to get 60fps @4k anyways I think 40-60 would be acceptable. Of course a bigger range is preferable but realistically I don't think this model is aimed at gaming markets.

If your min fps is 24 surely you need to change settings?

In that case if my calculations are correct once you deduct 23% from £950 and then convert to USD you end up with 958.76USD, of course because of the way we price things in the US you would want to round that up to 959.99USD or as I would say the price out loud 960USD.

Still expensive, but for the feature set and hopefully the quality, I think it's a reasonable price. I know if I were in the market for a monitor of that caliber I'd be willing to pay $1000.

Yeah as just a monitor it is certainly still on the pricey side. So it is probably a good idea to wait and see what other similar monitor go for, a quick Google search for 4K HDR monitor only gave me this model so I don't know if say ASUS or Acer have announced any.
