LGA775 Pentium 4's & Mach II

Right, after my 3rd board has now gone crazy on me and duel channel memory no longer works I was thinking about scrapping my current P4 setup.

So my question is does the current Mach II head and CPU socket kit fit into the new LGA775 boards?

Cheers!

NO the current socket 478 kit does not fit the LGA motherboards but... we are weeks away from an LGA775 cpukit. You heard it here first.

Huh???!!!

Do you care to elaborate Phil? Are they (nVentiv) back? Or have you commisioned something? Either way good news!

The Mach II is being relaunched. The manufacturer of the unit never went under it was purely nventiv. EP-UK is the "exclusive" dsitributor for the Mach II in UK & Europe we are proud to say, so everything Mach II will only be available from us - we'll get the new designs first, the new stock etc. We will however sell on to resellers, so when you see stock advertised elsewhere (that's new) its from us. We are aware of a couple of stores selling their original stock however so take that into account too.

Anyway, what we're saying is that nventiv no longer exist, but the manufaturer definitely does! Their will be new revisions of the Mach II in due course, and there will be new features, new cpukits etc etc. It will progress in time.

oh wow - an LGA775 Kit for the Mach II! can't wait!

another question though - will we be able to rma a broken mach II to you or are we still stuck without support?

Hi mate, LGA kits soon apparently - reference support on units not bought from us I dont know what the situation is with this, its something I am going to discuss with the manufacturer when we see them in November.

that would be outright incredible. Looks like the Mach is definitely back. :)

on a sidenote:

Who owns the rights for the Chipcon/nVentiv Mach Control Center Software?

nVentiv (the "Distributor") or the actual manufacturer, which is supposedly still alive?

I guess we won't see updates anytime soon if nVentiv owns all the rights... unless they decide to publish the sourcecode (which is rather unlikely ;))

Hi guys, I'm glad I found this place and that someone is keeping the Mach II's alive. Although I'm new to this place, I'm not new to phasechange cooling though, I've owned a couple of Vapochill systems and I'm on my 2nd Mach II. It's a Mach II GT and the last one sold in Denmark.

I'd be one of those wanting a socket 775 kit whenever they're available as I'd love to try out either one of those new DFI socket 775/i875P mainboards with a P4 3.73 EE whenever they come out, or something else socket 775.... However it wouldn't really be any fun without the Mach II GT.

Hey phil...are u trying to make me go insane and spend all my money again in cpus and overclocking gear?

the idea of an lga socket and ddr2 with all these goodies sound nice to me....

perhaps a 6ghz project will be on its way soon from me? :p

Dont' like to revive old threads, but any update on the E.T.A. for the 775 fitting kits Phil ?
