LG launches their Dual-Up 16:18 monitor for multi-tasking

I actually like this idea. Get two side by side for 4 screens in a space of 2 monitors

Our network users, have these at work. Not quite the same, but they try to achieve what LG have provided.

2 monitors like this placed vertical, either side of a 27inch screen. Smart thinking from LG.

Yeah I was thinking about this productivity reasons. If I was in a development environment having one side be code and the other side be all my testing for whatever application it is would be quite nice. Vertical space is a luxury when coding lol

It looks like they could be used for monitoring as well. At work they actually flipped to using big screen TVs, that way Ops people could see big red alerts better. But the TVs still aren't fantastic to read text on. I could see these being very useful in a similar fashion, monitoring windows on top, with console windows below for taking action, SSHing / RDPing into problem servers, etc.

That's more down to the cameras being used and how high quality they are. We have very good monitors and TVs for that matter, but the image quality is mediocre due to the cameras don't have that high quality of an picture.

Cameras? OPs guys dont all use cameras. Operations use monitoring tools for KPIs etc too :) thats where text readability becomes important :)

I meant more for server alerts, not camera feeds. But obviously there are many productive uses for a screen like that.
