LG delivers FreeSync Premium with its latest CX and GX OLED TV updates

4:2:0 Chroma and 8-bit color on OLED??? Come on. What is the point of that??? Ditch the old connectors and use new ones that have required bandwidth.

Fort that we need new GPUs. These limitations go away once HDMI 2.1 comes to GPUs. The LG screens already have the connector.

Display Port exists. It can do 4K 120 Hz 8-bit RGB, or 98 Hz 10-bit RGB. And I know nothing that can run games higher than 98 Hz at 4K.

Yes, but what I am saying is that LG's new TVs support HDMI 2.1, so it can do better 4K 120Hz with fewer downsides once supported GPUs launch.

Yes, you can go for a DP1.4 screen for 4K at high refresh rates, but I am talking about doing that on these LG TVs.

I Recently swapped from ultrawide to the LG CX 65". I was keen to try a BFGD setup so took the leap. Gsync works flawlessly hooked to my 2080Ti but fps is capped at 1440p 120hz due to Hdmi 2.0 on the GPU. Hopefully Ampere will bring 2.1 support and I can maximise the potential of the screen. The firmware for freesync premium may get used once the PS5 releases- but I've not seen it confirmed for either PS5 or SX yet despite them both having custom AMD Graphics.
