Sorry if this in the wrong section but I'm currently looking for a "gaming" laptop with similar performance to my desktop
My desktop is only a i3 with a gtx 750
The laptop is for gaming but for slightly older games dawn of war, c&c, might boot up blacks ops 2 now and than or payday 2

I wont use the laptop for any thing else so will install a front end ui or just keep have it booting directly into steam

Only other things I'm really after is easy upgrade I have a spare 250gb ssd id throw in, also not after a monster of a laptop size say 13 inch upto 15inch

This is for gaming on the couch really and 2 going into hospital for an operation so be nice to play some offline games.

I admit I did look at the new alienware steam box I was tempted but laptop I think would be the better route.

What's the budget?

PS: Don't know what you need an operation for, but best of luck :)
Let me tell you taking a laptop is not a bad idea cause hospitals are boring!

cheers ops nothing bad trapped nerve in the neck that's causing pins needles in my hands...same as carpal tunnel syndrome just else where in the body.

any way I have £600 saved up so far...get paid again end of the month so theres another £250 spare on top
so ill have £850 saved up end of the month hoping to hit the 1k mark but as I said the laptop doesn't have to be a power house, also doesn't have to have a ssd since I have one spare to throw in it

Ah, not had good experience with the combination of nerves and necks lately :p Hope all goes well for you :)

Yeah, the thing is £600 gets you an average laptop that's barely any faster than a 400 quid one, but once you spend £800 and up you get into serious gaming laptops with proper GPUs.

I'll have a look around for you and post back later today!
