Laptop sudden shutdown

Hey there

Me and my friends were playing CSS, and all of a sudden of my friends laptop's fan started rattling. It's a one year old msi ge60. I tried to disassemble it and see if anything got caught in the fan but it looked fine. We tried to start it up again and he got and error which said "logfile c /windows/system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt" and windows repair tool can't repair it... The fan is no big deal i can order and install a new one but the pc wont start, any of you got some tips on what to do?

under the disassembly we removed the battery i might add

For future reference you can use the EDIT button instead of posting another game.

The easiest solution would be to just reinstall/reset windows. As failsafes shouldn't have allowed the components to overheat regardless of whether the fan was operating normally or not.

Yeah, i've posted on some other forums too, everyone suggests a reboot, we're going to do that now
