Kudos to Newegg!

Recently, my I/O Magic 8x Dual Format (DVD+R, DVD-R, not Dual Layer) DVD+RW Drive broke. I RMA'ed it with Newegg.com! (This suprised me as I bought the drive in November of '04.)

The RMA got accepted, and I FedEx'ed it out there A.S.A.P. It took a while, because of the holiday weekend, but...they got it, and I got an email, stating that this particular burner is no longer carried by Newegg, so they offered me a replacement, (get a load of this!)

I checked NEC's website, sure enough, it has Dual Layer capability! (After a firmware update, which is no problem.)

the same drive i have nick - it kicks ass. imo the best dvd burner there is. make sure u use ritek G05 dye though.

you mean ritek ridata disks? i have one of der RW's.

nope. each dvd-r has dye. check the dye on a website on differnt discs and only bye discs with G05 if possible. if not then anythin else by ritek is second, dont buy cheap discs
