Hi all just been my birthday on the 18th and i have some money to spend. I wanted a new TV but am going to wait for one of those so i am going to spend my money on a new Keyboard and mouse setup. What should i get and where should i get them from. I have looked around the net but there's not that many place that stock loads of Keyboard and mouse. I have a budget of about £120 but could go to £150. Any suggestions would be great. Pleas give me the links to the best sites.

I would mostly use them for playing FPS and just general windows use. I do like a verity of games so let me know what you think i should get.

I have used many different gaming mice and keyboards over the years, and surprisingly enough the best Mouse and Keyboard for the price I have ever used is the Thermaltake Challenger pro gaming mouse and keyboard. Both have very good build quality and work surprisingly well. So those are my suggestions, but also the razer Death Adder is a great well priced mouse if you wanted another option.

I don't know where you would buy them over there but I do like the Logitech upper end of keyboards and mice. I use the G9x and G15 and find them very robust and reliable.

I have the razer deathadder mouse and razer blackwidow keyboard, love them both. Another popular mouse is the Logitech G9x.

We really need to sticky a thread on this. If you want a keyboard for gaming, get a mechanical keyboard. If you want just a general keyboard, get a cheap keyboard. If you want macro keys, get a Razer Black Widow.

For mouses, it's all up to what you like the look of, and how you grip your mouse. If you claw grip, in other words, don't use your palm or very little of it, get an ambi mouse. If you palm grip, get whatever type of mouse is your mouse hand. That's my general rule of thumb. You will find that nearly every single low end mouse these days, has enough DPI to do the job, as you can always raise the bar in Windows and most games. I have a 5k DPI mouse, and there is no way, I can even have it set remotely close with a 1:1 ratio, and still play games.

Some people do find it more comfortable to claw with specific sided mouses though. So basically look at what mouse you're using now, and your grip, and buy around that. Try and find something with the same dimensions as well, if you get something a lot larger, you'll really regret paying for it.
