Keep people from stealing your MacBook Pro...

There's a new piece of software currently being beta tested called "iAlertU" which is like a car alarm for your MacBook Pro. It uses the iSight camera and internal tilt sensors to detect if someone is messing with your Mac. Activate the software from the included Apple remote and disarm it the same way. Totally killer piece of software.

Check out this vid of it in action (note that in this video the guy has modded the alarm screen with the Apple pirate logo :))

By the time they pull out the battery, Frag will be over there beating their head to a pulp... rofl

That is a PIMP little util.

LOL nice one Frag. I believe that one way to curb the rampant lappy theft worldwide would be to install an hybrid RFID/ bluetooth GPS tracker in them

I'd rather have something that when you put it on safety mode, the next person who touches it is electrocuted lol

may sound found but atleast over here it would be considered assault or possibly murder :/

ROFLMAO :rollingla It would have to be like the anti-jack GPS monitoring that they have in new cars...not completely foolproof, but if it were in a hard to find place (or difficult to access) and self reliant as far as power goes (long life ion battery) it'd be feasible.
