Alright well thought I would post up a work log on OC3D. This is my 800D build, I started off with just a single 5970 and 1090t on H2O using a 360 RAD and a 140mm on the rear. After watching heaps of youtube vids of people rigs and reading forum work logs I wanted to add the motherboard and also get a 5870 or 5970 to Quad/tri fire with my current 5970. So I ordered in all the new parts i needed and heres my work log. Hope you enjoy

Components:

CPU = AMD x6 1090t @ 4GHz (My chip just refuses to go any higher)

RAM = Corsair dominator 1600MHz 7-8-7-20 @ 1.65v

Mobo = Asus crosshair IV formula

GPUs = HIS 5970 @ 850/1200/1100 (Easily does 950/1300/1162 but only do that when benchmarking), MSI 5870 @ stock, GTS 450 @ stock for PhysX

Sound= Asus Xonar essence STX + sennheiser HD 595 heaphones

PSU = Silverstone strider 1500 watt (Overkill I know but was the same price as HX850 so why not)

Case = Corsair 800D (Horrible case for air but really nice when you run H20)

HDD = Corsair reactor 60GB SSD OS, 1TB Samsung F3 for games, 640GB cav black for genral downloads and documents and 2* 2TB Cav greens for movies/music and ISOs

Water cooling set-up:

EK HF nickle + Plexi CPU block

EK 5970 + 5870 nickle + plexi GPU block as-well as back plates for both

EK crosshair IV formula block Acetal + nickle block

EK dual DDC pump top + 2* DDC pumps

2* EK 360 RADs

9* 1850RPM scythe GT's 6 in push/pull the other 3 on the rear RAD in pull

Various fittings all but 1 are mat black bitspower the other is silver

This was what my rig looked like about 4 weeks ago before I started adding in the motherboard block + 2nd triple RAD and my 5870.

With the 5870 added (Just on air)

Removed everything and mounted the EK crosshair IV motherboard block. Pretty simple to install

Rear mounter triple RAD using the kollance mount with quick disconnect.

All the cards added to the case + attached the mobo block to the CPU block (Needed 2* extenders aswell as 2 90* adapters)

Everything plumbed up (Except the 5870)

This is what the cabling looks like on the back i thought I did a pretty good job considering the amount of fans and stuff I needed to connect up.

Alright this is the new stuff that I have started as of ysterday

Here is the temp set-up I did as I removed the 5970 to RMA it as it had a faulty DVI conection

Here is both the 5970 + 5870 with the EK water blocks mounted.

Will be uploading more later today when I finish it.
