Kaveri 6/8 core cpu

Do you think AMD will make 6 or 8 core kaveri based cpu for fm2+ socket?

Doubt it, but I imagine that there will be a quad core with the GCN gpu taken off.

Rumors suggest they will not be making more FX cpus anytime soon sadly, though some say that there will be a 6-core carizzo/excavator based APU (this is over a year away though, given Kaveri was just released).

Currently none of AMD's roadmaps show a Kaveri/steamroller chip with more than 4 cores, even on the server end.

AMD are making SoC for clients along with PS4 and Xbone, making APUs with new architecture, producing the new R7/R9 GPUs(they have slight modifications but not much), and lastly the Hawaii architecture for the R9 290/290x.

That is just for now and i can bet they are doing stuff for the future. Kind of resource strained to do anymore.

Whats more, the leaked roadmaps that include 2015 aren't showing new Opterons with more than 4 Excavator cores either.

If they do I reckon the heat will be too much of an issue so they'll just make one without a gpu and call it something like Athlon x6 xxxk.
