Karoo taking fileshare banning to another level

There are perfectly legal uses of peer to peer.

I use them to host pictures i take at events for people to download them.

So the bottom line is don't live in Hull!

I think the main issue after reading the article is that Karoo is the only ISP in the area as its not served by BT Wholesale (or at least thats how i read it).

Which kinda makes their action even more extreme.

But still...if you're breaking the law, you're breaking the law. If ISP's are ever made to take responsibility for their users downloads then we'll see this happening everywhere.

But wouldnt that mean that they have a monopoly over that area? Something that the gov. oguht to do something about?

The thing is.

If you remove one source then another one will appear.

Remove 1 drug dealer 2 hours later there is some one selling even stronger stuff. Remove him another 2 appear.

File shearing is the same you remove 1 and another one appears, remove that and another 2 appear and on and on.

Piracy has been around for a long time and well before any one on these forums were born.

It first started in France when some times it was illegal to possess certain book so people devised systems that would allow the books to be reproduced and sold under the counter. (no not porn). The maker of thee illegal books then became famed because they fought the system. Then they were brought down. But people then decided that the books were not getting out quick enough and devised a new printing method called press printing and again the underground world of illegal books took off but bigger and faster. The more Presses they took out the more that sprung up until it was common place.

no need to expand on the idea weather we agree or disagree with the subject it will be here longer than you or me will and it will stay. Its in our blood.
