You can buy these direct from XTZ and all of their loudspeakers are highly rated. Great purchase mate, you're going to love them. What you got powering them?

I think the cones are the usual reinforced paper but we shall see.

I purchased them via the powerbuy thread on avforums which is basically direct from XTZ as you PM the guy there.

£190 for the pair.

I have a yamaha rx-v2400 powering them which i purchased off a guy for £150 just before xmas.

Sweet mate, that v2400 will easily power those babies ;) Love Yammy stuff, so solid and well built. That's going to be a real nice setup, congrats :)

bye bye 5.1 creative "pc" speakers :D

yeh im really looking forward to it

ordered some banana plugs and cabling off ebay today too

Yeah I have the z-5500 and from a pure audio aspect the SUCK, im planning on selling them and looking for a decent pair of bookshelf's. But when you get the time post some pics and your comments on them I would appreciate it since i'm in the market.

Sorted out cabling etc. yesterday, wasn't too hard a bit fiddly but as a first time cabling experience it went ok but the banana plugs are a bit loose.

First impressions, i was very disappointed but i am aware they require at least 100 hours burn in, and they change dramatically.

After a couple of hours, a lot more bass started coming through, and today after about 6 hours of total use, they are showing a lot more definition and bass. Pics will follow once they are properly setup.

I also removed the bass "plug" to allow lower ranges to come through, im sure i can put it back in for tighter bass once the cones have developed :)

I'll make a review or summit once i feel they have fully burnt in

Just play them at really low levels for over 100 hours. All speakers need that, some more than other, as you know. Do they say to run them out of phase, facing each other?

EDIT: Mine needed about 4 days constant play to loosen up and not sound awful :)

Nice, got any pics? This is the first ive heard of the XTZ brand. They look like they make some nice speakers using good quality drive units. Seas excel are very nice. But the ribbon tweeter seems to be unbranded, so they are able to make the speakers more cheaply.

Any reviews??

Only english review is on avforums.com really

They are good quality and would deffo recommend for the price.

Can handle bass well too

Will do a write up and photos once they are fully burnt in

?

its the location of the only english review and they arent really competition to what oc3d offers correct me if so :)

Nah OC3D's not a specifically AV review site, it's a PC review site :)
