Just Ordered Mach2 ST-Hoping for good show on the 2.8Slz5 !!!

Hello to everyone,glad i found this forum as this community and the info looks the dogs.Spoke to Phil today and just waiting on him getting in the next shipment of Mach2 st's,nasty watercooling accident turned my Akassa clear case into a fishtank earlier on in the week,this has forced me to review my cooling (and system doh )and learn by it.

Could be for the best as with this mach2 really hoping push the boat out.

Specs are :- P4 2.8 Mo Slz5 Costa,P4c800ed,2x512 Corsair xms4000,Sunflower 520 Quad Fan,His Ice Pro 9800,Maxtor 160 Sata,Ibm Deathstar 120,Pioneer 106,Liteon 811s,Liteon Dvd.Plus all the neons.

Plus 1 Clearcase 'Fishtank' minus water now.

You guys reckon i have a chance @ 4ghz+ with the chip & mem,i know about the vdroop and need for vmods with the p4c,but you think it'll stop me getting where i wanna go ???

Anything i should know about the mach2 setup on my sys ???

Any help guys would be much appreciated.

not a bad shopping cart there mate, however i do think you'd be better of with a Malay 2.8M0 rather than a costa, they seem to overclock much nicer.

I think the chances of getting to 4ghz+ are very limited, brw is extremely fortunate to reeach the goals that he did (4.3) but his 2.8M0 was also a Malay.

But who knows, only time will tell! :D

My 2.8 M0 is a Costa Rica NOT MALAY, and did 4382Mhz with my mach 2 GT.

not stable obviously but god its a great overclock from a 2.8 cpu...

In fact i havent seen any M0 SL6Z5 cpus from malay myself...

hope for the best and 4ghz may be your next 24/7 running speed :D
 
Thanx guys for the welcome,the only bad thing at the moment is waiting the 7 working days for Phil to get them in stock,really hoping for some fun outa this setup, as this week has been the biggest nightmare of all time for me comp wise.

Only water i wanna see now's in the bath and a glass guys !!!

Will let you know how the clocks go.
