Just browsing the kits...

I wont be able to afford a kit now but its definately an investment I need to look into. First thoughts are, yes, a kit, easier and guarenteed to be compatable! Another is it needs to fit my TJ05 (a big case) which shouldnt be too hard (mount onto fan brackets???). I would also like to cool as many components as possible - cpu, gpu and northbridge? Mebe ram??? (minimalising noise as it will be going in my bedroom soon). How much more extra weight are we talking? I mean my zalman cooler is quite heavy making lan party transport a bit like a weight lifting contest (keeps me fit  ) - I hear if you have a filling valve or something it will prevent most chances of it spilling? This appeals to me...

The easier it is to setup, the cheaper it is and the quieter it is, the better lawl...not askin for much. Thanks guys

If you want a kit, I suggest looking at the Swiftech kits. You are going to get high grade waterblocks, a top of the line pump, and a good radiator to boot. I don't suggest even taking the time to look at any kits from the likes of Thermaltake, CoolerMaster, etc.

You can easily cool everything mentioned in your loop. Just make sure that after you've figured out what you want to cool, you get a radiator big enough to disperse the heat, and a pump strong enough to keep up good loop pressure & flow.

Alphacool kits are cheap, easy to install and pretty good.

Swifttech kits are also well priced and perform extremely well

[Inset lecture on custom built>kit here]

If your that determined on a kit i can recommend the Alphacool Pro 240. Its a good price with easy room for expansion. Only problem with it is the hose it frankly

. Upgrade that to 11/8 (not forgetting the new tops for the compression barbs) and your onto a winner.

One thing i will throw in for real. Custom can easily be cheaper than kits.

Well ok, I will be wanting to cool as many things as possible so which pump would I need to be getting to do this? Will I need to aim for 1/2" tubing? As for cpu block - am i right in thinking just go by make and price? £30 for a half decent one??

Specialtech will be my sole provider hopefully :) I can ask Ayd and the krew to get anythin in hopefully

You might be best to post the Spec of machine as i did >Here.< Then see what p33ps come up with.

Then add the parts you've chosen again p33ps will advise you

Are you going to clock the CPU up a bit? If not it's barely worth getting watercooling??

If you are then I'd get:

SwiftTech Apogee GT

Laing DDC Pump

DD Fillport

XSPC 360 RAD

SwiftTech MCW60 GPU block

Swifty or EK NB block

XSPC tubing

Jubilee Clips

Something like that

ill be pushing it to the max - im just restricted now as my NB and cpu are getting pretty hot

Plus the noise....ughhhh

Watercooling that GFX card would dump alot of hear into your loop tho.. So i dno wether its necessary unless you can afford 2 loops.. I might be wrong.. haha.. im still abit of a n00b myself.

I will be getting a 8800gt sometime tho

I wont be incorporating it all in one go as i dont think i could afford so much!

Probably CPU only first off, possibly northbridge too - GPU later on

Well i got all my stuff second hand from Bio-Hazzard(sbherm) and its all alphacool and it works great, my C2D (stock) idles around 27-29 and loads around 34-36.. Pretty good temps.

Just as a comparison - my C2D idles at around 21°C and loads at 33-34°C stock on my setup :)

there are custom kits already made at Petrastechshop , its based in the US, there shipping prices are more than reasonable and service beyond measure. h/e if you can get your stuff at ST, it would probably be better
