Jayz2cents:Unnecessary drama with Mayhems

Hi

I have the same issue in my new build. My Pastel Red is going dull and brown. Also I think I see some green specs on one of the PETG tubes. I thought this stuff was supposed to have a biocide in it.

Will try and post picture later

Erm, post with a video only and no text....... not exactly a great start to a discussion.

This isn't the first time I have heard about this issue, though sadly I do not have a solution for you.

Having your loop constantly change color on you all the time is NOT something you want happening, and having the issue across multiple people means there's a fundamental flaw somewhere, also having the coolant block up parts of the loop with the nano particles isn't exactly confidence inspiring and shouldn't happen

Having the company having a pop at you on social media is an "unnecessary drama" when a company resorts to name calling I think was can all see that something has gone wrong somewhere.

Really it was poorly handled by Mick at Mayhems, and I've seen this happen quite a few times from them (not always Mick being the smarta$$ either). It's also known their fluids especially Red & Yellow are extremely sensitive to temps and residue in loops (pH imbalances etc).

It really does sound like their is a problem with their coolant and given how long this issue has been reported by users it seems that Mayhems hasn't fixed it over several years.

TBH I prefer clear coolant rahter than Pastel, but right now it would take a good bit of convincing to get me to use mayhems.

I have no idea what your point of this thread is, but bottom line is he was adressing a problem he was experiencing in his build, without pointing fingers at anything or anyone as the issue of his colour change is unknown to him. I understand his reaction when a company talks sh*t about you like that just because of that and it shows very unprofessional behaviour imo.

I've personally had zero issues w/ their coolants but after hearing this happen to Jay, like you it'll take alot of convincing to buy any future products since I cannot support this style of business practice.

Wasn't it said a while ago that Mayhems Pastel was not meant for 24/7 use but only for display purposes... I may have read that somewhere but can't recall.

no that was the shampoo like coolant, Aurora or something

TBH I think Jay has handled the situation well he was never once rude about it nor did he say at the time to anyone don't buy it, and to be attacked personally like he was is just wrong and Mayhem's did the same thing to Tom seems like a bit of a pattern here
And I don't blame Jay for now saying he won't buy it or any other product either and if I used water cooling I wouldn't use or recommend them either

Same thing. When I was looking for a coolant to put in my rig I looked at the pros and cons of several fluids. In the end I decided to go with plain distilled, some PtNuke and coloured tubing as pastel is known to sometimes chance colour or start clogging (especially the red one, which was the colour I wanted to use)
