I thought i would show everyone my pc that i made :D

Always wanted to make a top spec pc and i finally managed to save up enough money to get it!

didnt manage to get photos for every step of the way, but i will post what i have got :)...excuse the crap around the house :P

Started with the Antec P182 case, not the biggest if cases, but I just think it looks really good!

The case opened with PSU, DVD RW and 500gb Sata-II

The funky "on it's side hard drive"

Don't try to get that little metal plate out by just forcing it out with a screwdriver, you can slip easier than you think...:P

The P5K-Premium, when i went to order the P5K-E this was on offer and i just cant resist an offer! :P

P5K Premium inside the case

Slightly Blurry Q6600

Standard HSF, they are absolutely horrible to put on. All this nanometre technology and i have to bend it to put a bloody fan on!

2x1GB Ballistix tracer (just while installing vista, after its all installed the other 2 will go in :)) and yes the LEDs on top are completely necessary lol

Some of the cables put in...

...and now it all neat!

8800 Ultra, conveniantly covering 66% of my sata ports!!

And here it is all together with the 4gb of ram and PhysX

And with the lights turned down a bit for more effect lol

Well there we have it, took years to be able to afford it, but im very happy now I've got it! and actually amazed that there was absolutley no problems with it, everything works perfectly :D

Well, thanks for reading or having a look

JackyBoy

next week...watercooling everything on it! :D

That is a very nice build! :)

Love the step by step pictures... do a bit of cable tidying.

I shall be looking forward to the next issue.. Watercooling. :D

Cheers :D

And yeah i really do need to do lots of cable tidying to fit the 2 pumps inside it!! But i shall be taking lots more photos for that and actually try to keep them in focus :P

thanks for the comments :)

yeah 2 loops, i wanted to watercool it and it just kind of escalated by me going "well if im doing that, i may aswell do that too..."

so im pretty much doing everything i can bar hard drives and ram! but everything should be coming on tuesday so ill start a log of what im doing as i go along :)

cheers for the compliments :D

Yeah i cant wait to start putting water in it! I'll be taking my pc completely apart tomorrow (as long as everything does come!) to start attatching water blocks etc so i cant do even more tidying! lol

I don't really want to go into what im w/c in this thread so it doesnt start becoming a "why dont you do it this way" or "why are you doing that?" :P But the short answer is im doing EVERYTHING except ram (why cover those essential LEDs lol) and HDD but ill show you what I'm doing every step of the way!

Fair enough. I won't try to persuade you as you seem to have your mind made up. Good luck with the water-cooling install :)

Well its more that im absolutely skint cos ive spent over £500 on it and i dont want people going "why have you done that" if you get what i mean. but i will actually need help in which order to put everything in :)

so when everything comes, ill take photos, start a new thread and you can suggest as much as you want :D i would really appreciate it

Thought people might want to see what i got done today...

I asked Roger Clark Motorsport to cut it out for me and they did it straight away. It's like 5mm thick! would have taken me ages to do with a dremmel, but they have pneumatic tools to use on cars so it was quick job for them :)

Just need the perspex to put there now, then i can see all that wonderful water going round :D
