Issue after updating to the latest Catalyst Driver

Since I've updated my graphicscard drivers, the videocard outputs the wrong resolution, so there is a black frame around the desktop. This happens always when I start my computer and after about 30 seconds the screen seems to be properly recognized and the desktop is displayed normally.
Has anybody else the same problem? Any idea how I could fix it?
btw I have a SSD so there shouldn't be a problem with a slow bootdrive.

have you tried removing the driver completely and re-installing it yet? that woiuld be my 1st port of call

or just try rolling back the driver to see if it works fine

I have exactly the same problem, no idea why it does it but i might try downloading the 12.7 beta drivers, though i don't usually like using beta drivers as they can be quite buggy

The scaling was set correctly, the settings just weren't applied to the screen

The beta driver doesn't work for me, exactly the same problem, only when I uninstall the drivers completely this problem goes away
