Is your PC ready for Hogwarts Legacy? PC System Requirements Released

Currently, it is unknown if Hogwarts Legacy will support AMD's FSR 2.0 technology or Nvidia's DLSS AI upscaler. Support for these features would be welcome, especially for gamers who want to target higher framerates, resolutions, or settings than their hardware would otherwise support.
According to this, This, This and also the picture below direct from Nvidia, Hogwarts will include DLSS3 i.e super resolution, Reflex and frame generation.

Funny thig is that everyone that I know that are Harry Potter fans and were interested in this game, don't meet the minimum system requirements for 720p 30fps in one way or another...

This is pathetic code, especially considering they still plan to launch the game on last-gen consoles at a later date and that it will have a switch version...

For those people, I just hope, the community can make some mods to allow it to run on lower-end hardware.

I'll be honest, I think these requirements are higher than they need to be for 720p 30 FPS. It's not uncommon for minimum system requirements to be higher than strictly necessary to avoid complaints. IE, it makes sure that gamers have hardware that is more than good enough to run the game.

I for one am happy that it simply doesn't look like PS1 Harry. I therefore expect some eye candy and would rather prefer it over compatiblity with MUCH lower end hardware.

On the other hand... My system feels even older now...

I meet the "Ultra 4K" requirements just about, not sure if I am going to get the game or not but will be interesting to see how it looks cranked to the max.

Initially I was optimistic like that, it really is something DEVs historically did, but now, and also considering recent cases on PC gaming, it will more likelly just run terribly even on a 13900k + RTX 4090 because it has massive shader compilation stutters or something.

It's mostly because they included that 720p/30fps option there plus even higher RAM requirements than usual, that's very weird, they clearly are trying to shwo the game can run on slower hardware but making it 720p/30fps is cheating.

Ultra 1440p for me just about :)

Idk i'll wait for reviews i know many want it but doesnt mean it'll be good.

32gb ram is going to become the norm so best get used to it peeps.

Lets hope so Just upgraded from a 34inch Ultrawide 1080p 144hz Monitor i had for about 4 years to a 34inch with 1440p and 165hz and my 2070 Super struggles in some games so managed to pick up a rtx 3080 ti for 400 quid today should arrive by next week the rest of my system meets the specs with a 5800x and 32gb ram so lets hope its not as demanding as i prefer playing on Ultra at around 100fps for the lower latency.
