Hi guys
After abit of searching on ebay i came across a 2500k for £100. The seller said it was overclocked to 4.4 at 1.35v.
I dont know much about sandy cpus but this voltage seems high for that clock. Am i right or is that voltage normal for a sandy cpu?
Thanks in advance
Devin

My old 2600k did 4.5ghz at 1.275/1.28v I believe, so it isn't great - but it'll obviously depend which board he was using.

1.35v is absolutely fine for it though.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Ive got a z77a g45 which ive heard are pretty good for overclocking....

So would you say its worth getting the chip or should i jus save abit more and get a 3570k?

Ah yh thats right because ivy was a 'tock' wasnt it.
I didnt know about the mem support being better so i think based on everything ill wait and get a 3570k.

Thanks for all the help
