Is this enough, or over kill?

I'm new to the whole liquid cooling thing:o and i recently built a computer that i plan on liquid cooling after i get my tax return.^_^ i plan to cool the CPU, mobo, ram, and 3 graphics cards, and i was wondering if 3 360 mm rad that are 60 mm thick enough to keep everything cool? Or do i need 80 mm thick rads?:(

the fans im going to be using are the corsair 120SP quiet edition

CPU is the 3930K
Ram is Corsair Dominator GT
Mobo is the ASUS Rampage 4 Extreme
Graphics are the MSI GTX 680 Lightnings
 
No i would use better rads for that set up. I use atleast 120 every heat source/block and you have 3 gpu's, cpu and mb, so i would recomend to use trippel rad + dual, quad + dual/singel, 6 fan rad, 2x trippels, 2x quads. The SP fans are good and i think they r a good choice.

You should fill in more info about case so we can help you better. Also, will you be oc the hardware, because +++ more heat then
 
im was planing on using a phobya external 1080 radiator box
also the cpu in hoping to overclock to around 4 ghz and the ram to 2133 and the graphics to a reasonable but stable overclock
 
4.0 ain't an overclock on that chip. Mine went to 4.5 @ 1.36 never had any issues. In one loop on a single 360*60 rad push pull nff12s full rIVe ek web kit Xbox ray storm CPU block and 2 domi gt water blocks and my temps wouldn't go much higher than 60-65. Im adding a second loop with 2 gtx 670 ftws an reducing the load on that first loop by putting some of the blocks in the gpu loop. But I never had temp issues with a single 360. With a 1080 you could have some very quiet fans and still get real nice temps. Good luck with it
 
If I was you, I would get me like a good thick 480mm rad for the GPUs alone, and a 240mm/360mm for the CPU and MOBO. The Mobo normally doesn't get that warm, and I wouldn't watercool the RAM. It is useless (people only do it for esthetics anyway).

But what I suggest is just if you want a really near silent rig. I think that you should even be fine with a 360 + 240 imho. I don't see why not... It will be better than air (like 15 degrees or something) anyway.
 
3 360's will be enough for that loop,ram and mobo dont really count for much heat wise.
120 of rad for each block in the loop plus a 120 on top of the total is the minimum really.
Watercooling RAM just adds restriction,its a pointless thing to do.....

im new to overclocking so i didnt know how much i could get my cpu and gpu up to
 
Well a 3930k was my first chip and it was real easy buddy. You shouldn't have too much troubleand IMO the uefi is pretty nice as well. You will enjoy it
 
You should be fine with even 1 rad less ;-)
Just make sure to use a dual pump as one won't be able to keep up

That is some properly BAD advise. I actually had a right laugh reading this.

Then I started to feel angry this type of thing is getting posted on here.

Get all of your hardware dude, case choice is going to be limited for you tbh.

I actually hate the look of watercooled ram. To me its a n0000b badge.

Yeah I totally agree with Cloudie, make sure you don't skip out on the pumps. Mobo blocks and RAM blocks are pretty restrictive and adding several GPU blocks and a CPU block in there won't help either.

I know there's several different bay reservoirs that support dual pumps.

edit: but yeeeeeeah, after reading what Tom wrote. Do you really need to watercool your RAM too? I think you'l have a really hard time making that look nice tbh....

I have ram blocks on my rIVe and I love them I think they look cool. I'm aware that I don't need them but I didn't need to spend 2500+ on mine so remember buddy it's your money it your computer you have to look at it. It's just like picking alloy wheels for your micra do you go for the deep dish bbs rims or spinners. Ttl said to me they were gay and while i respect the opinion of him and b neg for example I got them anyway because I was going to be the user no one else so what it boils down to is do you like them enough to fork out 35 quid per block plus 15 for fittings or can you make do without because it will look good regardless. If you tube it well there can't be an issue
 
ok, now that i have some ideas for rads, what do you guys think i should use for fans? i was thinking corsair 120sp quiet edition models, any tips?
 
no offence, but i dont know who you guy's are, i know who tinytimlogan is, also i opened this thread so i can get info on rads and fans not what you guys think about ram blocks, if i wanted to get your opinion on ram blocks it would have asked, but since you all are so nice to piont it out, after taking b negative's, tinytomlogan's, and deejeta's opinions into consideration ive decided to drop the ram blocks, and upgrade to dominator platinums
