Hi,

First sorry I dont know where to post this but I cant find a forum for mice.

I used to use RAT7 but after it become defective I got the mouse A4Tech XL-747H

and I have hard time to point correctly at small things click "X" icon in windows for example. when I move the mouse cursor and click I notice slight shift of the cursor but I dont know is it my hand or the mouse speed or a problem with mouse. I lowered the dpi in windows to 1200 but still got the same problem

please advise if there any software can test the mouse and I can not RMA I am in different country

thanks

If you use a setting lower or higher than the default windows setting, you will not get 1 to 1 windows mouse movement.

For example, say you are using 3/11. Your windows multiplier is 0.25. If you move the mouse by one pixel constantly for 3 counts, 3 * 0.25 = 0.75, and the pointer is not moved at all. You then move another 2 counts, and 2 * 0.25 = 0.5 + the 0.75 from last time = 1.25. Now the pointer moves by 1. This happens because when Windows applies the scaling factor, it can only pass through to the game a whole (integer) number of mouse movement and it holds back or delays a remainder which is added into the next movement.

@SieB I installed the last driver from their web site then I realized it is only the Oscar editor that adjust macros and the mouse appear in my device manager as HID - Compliant mouse is that correct or it should appear with its name ?

@frozen I dont know I was having another temporary mouse from A4Tech and it does not do this. I tried to email the company at x7.cn from days but no replay it seems they never do support.

I'm having trouble visualizing your problem. When you click your mouse the cursor moves? Or when you move, it's hard to click on things accurately?

Thanks sleepylilazn it is When I click my mouse the cursor moves a little it is like too sensitive

That's no good. =[

Hmmm. I don't have a Rat7 myself so I can't say for sure, but I think it might be a physical problem. I think your mouse is not stable/ridged enough that your cursor is moving when you click. Try to do different adjustments to the mouse to get the stability you need.
