Is fluid XP worth the money

This has probably been asked before however i was wondering. Is this stuff actually 'non-conductive' if it leaked on my mobo would it fry it?

I really wouldn't worry. My water loop leaking is the least of my worrys. Seeing as I am pretty sure it won't. (touch wood) :D

As long as the seals are sealed you will be fine.

But non-conductive is alright.

Although whats the point when water itself is conductive?

i've used fluid xp in my previous system for 1 year, had some leaks-had 1 bad leak where fluid xp spilled over m-board etc when pc was running. fixed the leak-dried off pc-left overnight and then booted system up next day and everything was okay.

so for me it was worth the £20.

Nope. Is not worth the money.

Out of the loop Fluid-XP will remain non-conductive/non-capacitive perhaps 30 minutes longer than distilled water.

It will hurt your temps, its formulation has been reported as prone to "un-mix", is horrendously expensive and overall useless.

If you want the best possible temps, distilled water + a drop of biocide (to keep cheeky algae at bay).

If you are worried about galvanic corrosion, Zerex @ 5%. Zerex because is the only additive I know of that has been reported as non-toxic, as opposite to HydrX, Pentosin and others.

Couldn't have said it any better...

Some guy switched to water and saw tremendous temp drops.

Also, I highly doubt Zerex is non toxic. You should not worry about galvanic corrosion unless you have aluminum in your loop, and you shouldn't have aluminum anyways.

Im using Innovatek Protect IP and it seems to runs pretty good. Plus if it drips on your 1000$ mobo/gpu it shouldnt fry anything plus its bio-degradable

(I posted my temps in another post here)

BS if it drips on your mobo it probably has the same chance of frying things as water. Maxxxracer actually tested the resistance of normal water vs. a "non-conductive" coolant, and it turns out, water is more resistive...
