So, even though none of us really uses irc we've been forced to get this done, as we could face removal from ED for not having an active irc channel...

After an hour or 2 of getting my head around irc, with the help from a few guys at Hexus (ajbrun :worship - I've managed to have a fully working channel on Quakenet with a bot which will stop people taking over the channel (BTW, we are unbanned from #OC3D now thanks to abjrun again)

Check it out at irc.quakenet.org #overclock3d. If you guys hate mirc, look into a nice lookin proggie called x-chat. Looks much nicer!

So if any of you use irc, could we try and keep numbers up? Who knows maybe everyone could come along and just idle/chat whenever as it isn't exactly heavy on your super computers

I think OC3D should have its own IRC webclient tbh.

If you don't fancy using a seperate IRC client at all, Gaim does IRC so you can log into irc whenever you log into MSN/AIM messenger.

ok this is now fully up and running and we have some people in the channel.

we need to keep this going so even if you dont idle 24 hours a day, can you just pop on every now and again and show your face.

also all non clan members are encouraged to join the channel and ahve a chat with the (godlike) css team
