ok when it comes to ram selection i have NOOOO idea about ram/Memory but i have a ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Z with a 17 2700k and wonted the best ram (8gb min) for it.

I can only recommend, Kingston HyperX Genesis.

they are low profile, and they run just great, I'm running 16GB(4x4GB) of them and have done for a long time without running into problems

They are also pretty cheap.

Personally, I'd pick from this list.

Probably cheaper than you'd expect. Pretty much CL9-11-10-27 or 9-11-9-28.

I'd select the type of profile I need to be sure my cooler fits:

1866 could be cheaper, but I tend to find the 2133 CL9 can be run at 1866 with tighter timings if you have to\want to.
