Hey guys, I was just curious, where are the IP's for your CS:S servers? I can't seem to find them anywhere!

Thanks,

Nick

yea last time i wanted to find em i was searching for about 10 minutes

i think you should sticky them somewhere, possibly in the clan section?

cheers.

its not lazyness its the fact that new users and whatnot shouldnt haveto search for the server ip's,they should already be noted somewhere easily findable.

cheers.

another suggestion is for the actual server,a program(or whatever you call extras for css servers)

called "ace rates" would be good.

there are a lot of rate hackers around these days,it adjusts rates automatically when the people join to whatever you set it-to set them to

a lot of servers have this and some other little things to help make players experiences more 'fun' :)

cheers.

There was a Sticky in the Software>Games section - I've now copied this to the clan section :p

I thought Mani Admin was able to 'force rates' anyway, it just needed to be set within the server config. I may be wrong though :wavey:

Not on the version we use afaik. There are ways to do it with scripts that run on the server, but setting everybody's rates the same is not the answer.

For starters people get used to the rates that they are running, and chaing them will prolly p155 them off, then you have to take into account that some people may be on slow connections or located in a different country and lower their rates in order to reduce loss/choke.

The way i see it, the only way to get around this is to manually check the rates so that we don't end up rubbing ppl the wrong way ;)
